Swim Meet Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct defines expectations of behavior for all swimmers and parent/guardians during swim meets.
- Swimmers will be on best behavior:
- No running, no throwing, no spitting, no yelling, and keep your hands to yourself.
- Parents will be expected to supervise their swimmer(s) while swimmer(s) is in between races and address any behavior issues.
- Parents will ensure that swimmers are in the swim team area at least 15 minutes prior to each swimmer's estimated race times.
- Team members and parents are expected to leave the pool and surroundings in a neat and clean condition after practice and meets.
- During meets, parents are expected to remain in the spectator areas unless they are working the meet in an official volunteer capacity or supervising their swimmer(s).
- Bullying and aggressive behavior by team members, parents and spectators will not be tolerated. Violators may be removed from the meet immediately.
- Let the swimmers swim and the coaches coach, and support both positively.
If you notice an issue, call it to the attention of a member of the swim board or coaching staff. Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of the swimmer from the Timberwood Park Swim Team.
