Team Information
Cost
The 2026 registration fee is $145 for the first swimmer and each additional family member is $135. There is a nonrefundable $20 swim team fee per family. Additional expenses include a swim season pool membership (approx. $150 per family), a team swimsuit (approx. $47 for girl's suit and $40 for boy's jammer) and the parents’ requirement to work for at least 2 meets ( see Volunteer Requirements). Registration will include a team t-shirt and swim cap.
Equipment
Team swimsuits for boys and girls are available for purchase from Swim Freak on Thousand Oaks Drive. We will use SPEEDO Bolted suit for the 25 & 26 swim seasons. Swimmers are strongly encouraged to purchase their suit through Swim Freak.
Eligibility
Swimmers must be between the ages of 5 - 18 and must be able to swim across a 25 yard pool without assistance. All new swimmers to the team, regardless of age, must attend a try-out. You can RSVP for try-outs on the website
You are required to pay a TPOA pool fee for the swim season.
Per contract agreement with TPOA, participation on the Swim Team is limited to (a) children and parent or legal guardian who reside, lease or rent in Timberwood Park and is a TPOA Member in good standing as defined by TPOA’s dedicatory instruments, and (b) children and parent or legal guardian who reside, lease or rent in The Villas at Timberwood and are in good standing with TPOA.
Households that lease or rent a property within TPOA must provide proof of residency upon request. (TWP boundary map). You must be in good standing with TPOA.
League
We participate in the Maverick Summer Swim League. Our team is limited to 120 swimmers and late comers may be placed on a waiting list.
Swim Meet Participation
Swimmers are not required to participate in all swim meets. Dual meets may be either in person or virtual (each team swims in their own pool and race results are merged electronically). Swimmers must RSVP for swim meets through the website to participate. Relays are perhaps the most fun aspect of a meet however, if one swimmer does not show up, the relay team does not swim. It is very disappointing to the other swimmers if a team member does not show up.
Refunds
We understand that sometimes swim team isn't for everyone. Refunds will only be issued according to the following schedule:
May 4th- last day for 100% refund less processing fees
May 8th- last day for 75% refund less processing fees
May 15th - last day for 50% refund less processing fees
May 22nd- no further refunds given less processing fees
In addition, pool membership refunds will NOT be given.
